The Brass Forging Manifold For Floor Heating consists of two parts, the water distribution and the water collection, which are collectively referred to as the floor heating manifold. The manifold is a water distribution device used to connect the water supply pipes of various heating pipes in the water system; the water collector is a water collecting device used to connect the return pipes of various heating pipes in the water system. The main accessories of the floor heating manifold are the manifold, the water collector, the inner joint head, the lock valve, the joint head, the valve, and the exhaust valve. There are several steps to install the floor heating manifold:

1. Connect the water inlet and outlet

The water inlet and outlet of each loop heating pipe should be connected to the manifold and the water collector respectively. The inner diameter of the manifold and the water collector should not be less than the inner diameter of the total supply and return pipes, and the flow velocity of the largest section of the manifold and the water collector should not be greater than 0.8m/s. Each manifold and water collector branch loop should not be more than 8. Too many loops will result in too dense piping at the manifold for installation. A shut-off valve such as a copper ball valve shall be provided on the supply and return pipes of each branch loop.

2. Corresponding installation valve

Valves, filters and drains should be installed in the direction of water flow on the water supply connection pipe before the manifold. Two valves are set before the manifold, mainly for cleaning the filter and closing when replacing or repairing the heat metering device; the filter is set to prevent impurities from clogging the flow meter and heating pipe. The valve and filter before the heat metering device can also be replaced by a filter ball valve. On the return water connection pipe after the water collector, a drain pipe should be installed, and a balance valve or other shut-off adjustment valve should be installed. System accessories should be made of corrosion-resistant materials. Install a drainage device for flushing pipes and drainage before acceptance and subsequent maintenance. It is best to have drainage devices such as floor drains near the drainage device. For systems with heat metering requirements, a heat metering device shall be provided.

3. Set Bypass

Between the main water inlet pipe of the manifold and the main water outlet pipe of the water collector, a bypass pipe shall be provided, and a valve shall be provided on the bypass pipe. The connection position of the bypass pipe should be between the beginning of the main water inlet pipe (before the valve) and the end of the main water outlet pipe (after the valve) to ensure that water does not flow into the heating pipe when flushing the heating pipeline system.

4. Set manual or automatic exhaust valve

Manual or automatic exhaust valves should be set on the manifold and water collector. Install an automatic air release valve as much as possible, so as to bring convenience to users in the future use process, and avoid the gas collection caused by factors such as cold and hot pressure difference and water replenishment, which hinders the operation of the system.

Although the installation of the manifold is not complicated, it is an important part that affects whether your winter is warm and worry-free. In order to have a warm winter for you and your family, please don’t ignore every detail of floor heating installation! The manifold series welcome everyone to come and buy.
