Working principle

How to add a drain valve to the floor heating manifold

1. Prepare tools and materials: you need to prepare fixed pliers, spanners, small drain valve, gaskets and other tools and materials.

2. Positioning drain valve location: in the floor heating system, hot water flow to the manifold is bound to pass through an inlet pipe and a return pipe, so in any one of these two pipelines can be installed drain valve. It is generally recommended to choose the location of the inlet pipe, because the return pipe with a drain valve, due to the lower temperature of the water in the pipeline, in the winter operation of the water is prone to freezing phenomenon.

3. Close the inlet and outlet valves: Before installing a drain valve on the manifold, the inlet and outlet valves should be closed to avoid water leakage caused by water impact.

4. Remove the pipe joints: Use a spanner to remove the connecting joints on the inlet pipe or return pipe to separate the pipes.

5. Install the gasket: Put the gasket on the connection port of the drain valve, the gasket needs to choose the appropriate type and specification to ensure that there is no leakage in the connection.

6. Install the drain valve: Connect the drain valve to the pipeline and tighten the fixing pliers or spanner.

7. Open the drain valve: After the drain valve and piping connections are installed, check the connections for leaks and open the drain valve until the outflow of water to remove suspended impurities and air, in order to re-open the inlet and outlet valves, normal operation of the floor heating system.
