Purpose and scope:

The connection unit for heating devices is used in two-pipe heating systems for connecting radiators having lower connections with a distance between their centers of 50 mm.

The unit provides the user with the ability to adjust the flow rate of the coolant,and also,if necessary,completely disconnect the radiator from the heating system.Such a unit isconvenient to use for lower hidden piping to the radiator.It avoids hidden piping connections and improves system reliability.

The assembly is connected to the radiator by means of a threaded connection with a self-sealing seat or bymeans of a self-sealing adapter.This design provides a detachable tight connection of the unit with the radiator without the use of additional sealing materials.

The unit can be used with steel, copper, polymer and metal-plastic pipes transporting liquid media that are non-aggressive to the product materials:water,glycol-based solutions.The maximum glycol content is up to 50%.

Material used:

The radiator connection unit is H-shaped and consists of two shut-off and control valves interconnected with a distance between their axes of 50 mm.A node can be of two types: straight and angular.

Both shut-off and control valves are identical and have a common H-shaped body.The body of the product has two bends for Euroconus fittings with an external 3/4 cylindrical thread for connecting to the pipe line,two corresponding bends with an internal metric thread for screwing in the threaded flanges and also two holes with an internal metric thread for installing the tuning bushings.

The union nut has a cylindrical thread and is used to connect to radiators having connecting leads with an external thread or to screw in adapter nipples used to connect to radiators having a connecting lead with internal threads 1/2 ”.

The body, threaded flanges,union nuts and adapter nipples are made of brass,the surface of the body and union nuts are nickel-plated.

The body / flange connections are made using o-rings and sealed with glue.To seal the joints of the unit with the radiator,the threaded flange has a gasket and the adapter nipple has an o-ring.the alignment sleeve has a blind hex hole in the upper part.The sealing ring prevents the flow of working fluid from under the sleeve,and the sealing ring provides a tight shut-off of the valve when it is completely closed.It is impossible to unscrew the adjusting sleeve, so. after its installation, the housing opening is flared, and the protective cover is screwed on top.

Tuning sleeves and protective covers are made of brass,the surfaces of the protective covers are nickel-plated.All o-rings and gaskets are made of synthetic elastomer (ethylene-propylene rubber, EPDM)
